It is a wall bolt/plug with M8-Female thread. There are a inner hexagon screw and a metal ball inside the M8 thread hole. When the inner hexaon screw is turned inward, the ball will be pushed moving and expanding the bolt/plug so as to make the bolt/plug be fixed on the wall or rock.
After the wall bolt/plug is fixed, the prisms adaptors(L4, L5-1,L5-2,etc.) with M8 thread screw can be screwed on the bolt/plug so as to the surveying reflectors can be installed. It offers a particularly economical way to install surveying reflectors in concrete,rocks or walls.
